April through May brings perfect weather – warm but not sweltering, with spring flowers blooming in the countryside. The rice terraces start turning green, and you can cycle all day without melting.
September through November offers the year's best conditions. Temperatures hover around 25°C, humidity drops, and autumn colors paint the karst landscape. November especially delivers crystal-clear skies perfect for photography.
Avoid July and August unless you enjoy swimming in your own sweat. Summer temperatures hit 35°C with crushing humidity, and sudden thunderstorms can wash out outdoor plans. Winter (December-February) stays mild but gray, with persistent drizzle that obscures the mountain views you came here to see.
