October through April offers the best weather. Temperatures hover around 20-25°C, perfect for walking the tree-lined streets and sitting on restaurant terraces. December and January bring the most comfortable conditions but also the biggest crowds. Hotel prices peak during these months. Book accommodations at least two months ahead. May through September gets brutally hot. Even Zamalek's shade can't protect you from 40°C heat. Air conditioning bills skyrocket and outdoor dining becomes impossible during midday hours. Ramadan transforms the neighborhood's rhythm. Restaurants close during daylight hours, but the evening iftar scene becomes magical as families gather in cafes after sunset.
