Verbier in December

December through March gives you the most reliable snow and the full Verbier experience. January offers the best powder and the coldest temperatures — perfect if you're serious about skiing. February brings Swiss school holidays, which means crowds but also the best atmosphere. March delivers longer days and spring skiing conditions, with temperatures warm enough for outdoor lunches. December can be hit-or-miss for snow on lower runs, but the Christmas markets and holiday atmosphere make up for it. Avoid the first two weeks of January if you want to dodge the post-holiday crowds. The high-altitude runs above 2,500 meters typically have good snow from December through April, while village-level runs need fresh snowfall to stay decent.
