Valencian Community in August
Great time to visit
August is one of the best months to visit Valencian Community.
All Months
April through June offers perfect weather without summer crowds. Temperatures hover around 22°C, beaches aren't packed, and restaurant terraces fill with locals enjoying long lunches. Las Fallas festival in March brings Valencia to life with massive sculptures and fireworks, but book accommodation months ahead.
Summer means beach season but also intense heat and crowds. July and August see temperatures hit 35°C, and coastal towns triple their prices. But this is when the region truly comes alive - beach clubs operate until dawn, festivals happen weekly, and the Mediterranean reaches perfect swimming temperature.
September and October might be the sweet spot. The sea stays warm from summer heating, crowds thin out, and temperatures drop to comfortable levels. Harvest season brings food festivals celebrating local rice, citrus, and wine. Hotel prices drop by 40% compared to peak summer.
Winter brings mild temperatures and empty beaches. Valencia rarely drops below 10°C, making it perfect for city exploration and museum visits. Many coastal restaurants close, but this is when locals reclaim their towns. Alicante's January almond blossoms create pink clouds across the landscape.
Avoid Easter week unless you enjoy crowds. Spanish families flood coastal areas, prices spike, and restaurants struggle with demand. The weather is lovely, but you'll spend more time waiting in lines than exploring.
