Tubbataha Reef in April

Great time to visit

April is one of the best months to visit Tubbataha Reef.

All Months

Tubbataha operates on nature's schedule: March 15 through June 15 only. Outside these dates, rough seas make the journey impossible and the park officially closes. March offers the calmest conditions but fewer big pelagics. April through May delivers the best visibility — often exceeding 40 meters — and peak manta ray activity. June can be spectacular for hammerhead encounters, but weather becomes unpredictable toward month-end. Avoid the temptation to book the very first or last trips of the season. Weather windows are narrow, and cancellations are common. Mid-April through mid-May offers your best bet for consistent conditions and maximum marine life activity.
