Tashkent in December
Good time to visit
December is a reasonable time to visit Tashkent.
All Months
April through May gives you perfect weather – warm days, cool nights, and everything in bloom. The city's parks actually look green instead of dusty brown. Hotel prices stay reasonable because tourist season hasn't kicked in yet.
September through November works just as well. Temperatures drop from summer's brutal heat but stay comfortable for walking around. October hits the sweet spot – you can wear a light jacket in the morning and shorts by afternoon.
Winter (December through February) isn't terrible if you don't mind gray skies. Temperatures hover around freezing but rarely drop much lower. The upside: you'll have major attractions to yourself and hotel rates plummet.
Avoid June through August unless you enjoy 40°C heat and dust storms. The city empties out as locals flee to the mountains. Even the metro stations feel like saunas.
