Sunshine Coast in February
Not the best time
February isn't ideal for Sunshine Coast. Consider a different month.
All Months
April through October delivers the goods. Temperatures sit between 15-25°C, humidity drops, and rain becomes occasional rather than daily. This is peak season, so book accommodation early and expect crowds at popular beaches. May and September offer the sweet spot — warm enough for swimming, cool enough for hiking, and fewer families since school's in session. Summer brings heat, humidity, and afternoon storms that clear quickly but can dump serious rain. December through February sees temperatures hit 30°C regularly, with humidity that makes it feel hotter. But summer has advantages — warm ocean temperatures, longer days, and Christmas holiday atmosphere. Winter rarely gets truly cold. July might see morning temperatures around 10°C inland, but beach days still happen regularly. The ocean stays swimmable year-round, dropping to about 21°C in winter. Avoid Easter and September school holidays unless you love crowds and premium pricing.
