Sudan in November
Great time to visit
November is one of the best months to visit Sudan.
All Months
November through March offers the sweet spot — daytime temperatures hover around 85°F instead of the brutal 110°F+ of summer. The rains stop by October, leaving roads passable and skies clear for photography. December and January bring the coolest weather, perfect for exploring archaeological sites without melting. But here's the catch — this is also peak season for the few tourists who do visit, so book accommodation early. April starts getting uncomfortably hot, and by May the temperatures become dangerous for extended outdoor activities. The rainy season from June to September makes many rural roads impassable, but it transforms the landscape into unexpected green. If you can handle the humidity, this season offers a completely different Sudan — one where nomads gather around temporary lakes and wildflowers bloom in the desert.
