April through September offers the sweet spot for Spitzkoppe. Days stay warm (20-25°C) while nights cool down enough for comfortable sleeping. Rain is rare, and the desert wildlife is most active. Avoid November through February — it's brutally hot with afternoon thunderstorms that make climbing dangerous. March can work if you don't mind occasional showers and higher humidity. For photographers, May delivers the best light with crystal-clear air and dramatic cloud formations. August brings the strongest winds but also the most stable weather for multi-day climbing expeditions.
