Seoul Capital Area in March
Good time to visit
March is a reasonable time to visit Seoul Capital Area.
All Months
Spring (April-May) brings cherry blossoms and perfect weather, but also massive crowds at every popular spot. Yeouido Park becomes a pink wonderland, but good luck getting a decent photo without strangers in the background.
Fall (September-November) might be Seoul's sweet spot. Temperatures hover in the 60s-70s Fahrenheit, humidity drops, and autumn leaves turn Namsan Park into something from a postcard. October is particularly gorgeous but book accommodations early.
Winter gets cold – like, really cold. January temperatures drop below freezing regularly, but the city looks beautiful under snow. Ice skating at Seoul Plaza and hot street food taste even better when it's frigid outside. Just pack serious winter gear.
Summer (June-August) brings monsoon season and humidity that feels like breathing through a wet towel. July and August see temperatures in the 80s-90s with matching humidity levels. The upside? This is when Seoul's night markets and rooftop bars really come alive. Air conditioning is everywhere, and summer festivals happen constantly.
Avoid major Korean holidays like Chuseok (autumn) and Seollal (Lunar New Year) when the entire city empties out as people visit family. Many restaurants and attractions close for several days.
