December through May offers the driest weather and coolest temperatures, but you'll pay peak prices and fight crowds at popular spots. I prefer late November or early December — still dry but before Christmas rates kick in. Hurricane season runs June through November, with September and October being the riskiest months. But here's the upside of shoulder season: hotel rates drop by 30-40% and you'll have beaches mostly to yourself. Temperatures stay in the 80s year-round, so weather isn't dramatically different. Just pack a light rain jacket if you're visiting during wet season — afternoon showers are quick but intense.
