October through April offers the best weather, with daytime temperatures around 20-25°C and cool nights. December and January get properly cold after sunset — we're talking near-freezing temperatures, so pack layers. May through September is brutal, with daytime temps hitting 45°C or higher. The shoulder months of October-November and March-April give you that perfect Goldilocks weather. Full moon periods offer incredible night visibility but wash out some stars. New moon gives you the most dramatic stargazing but makes walking around camp trickier. Ramadan affects some services and meal times, so check dates before booking.
