October through April offers the sweet spot for Red Sea travel. Air temperatures hover between 20-28°C, perfect for both beach time and exploring. December and January are peak season - expect higher prices and more crowds, especially around Christmas and New Year. But here's the thing about summer visits: while air temperatures can hit 40°C, the sea remains refreshing and diving conditions are actually excellent. July and August see fewer tourists, meaning better deals and more space on dive boats. Avoid late spring (May-June) when the khamsin winds can kick up sandstorms. Water visibility is best from October to December, reaching up to 40 meters in some spots. If you're primarily here for diving, shoulder seasons (March-April, October-November) offer the best balance of good conditions and reasonable prices.
