Quadrilatero della Moda in February

April through June is golden hour for the Quadrilatero. The weather's perfect for walking, spring collections are in full swing, and the tourists haven't arrived yet. September and October bring fashion week energy — the streets buzz with editors, buyers, and street style photographers. But book everything months in advance during these periods. Prices double, and good luck getting a dinner reservation. Summer gets sticky and most locals flee for the coast, leaving the district to tourists clutching guidebooks. Winter shopping is serious business here. January sales bring out the Milanese in force, hunting for discounted designer pieces. The Christmas displays are spectacular, especially along Via della Spiga, but crowds can be overwhelming. Early morning visits (stores open at 10am) give you the streets almost to yourself. Late afternoon brings the aperitivo crowd, which is when the district really comes alive.
