Orange County in May

April through June gives you perfect weather without the summer crowds. Beaches stay comfortable, theme park lines move faster, and hotel prices haven't hit peak season yet. September through November works even better. The ocean reaches its warmest temperatures, kids are back in school, and those famous Santa Ana winds clear the air to crystal clarity. You'll actually see the mountains from the beach. December through March brings rain and cooler temperatures, but also the lowest prices and smallest crowds. Disneyland decorates for holidays, which is genuinely spectacular. Just pack layers because 60 degrees feels cold when you're expecting California sunshine. Avoid July and August unless you love crowds and paying premium prices for everything. The beaches pack with families, theme parks hit capacity, and traffic gets even worse than usual.
