Nepal in June

Not the best time

June isn't ideal for Nepal. Consider a different month.

All Months

October and November deliver Nepal's golden season. Clear skies, mild temperatures, and mountain views that'll make your camera work overtime. Trekking conditions are perfect but trails get crowded. Book teahouses in advance for popular routes like Everest Base Camp. Spring months of March through May bring rhododendron blooms and warming weather. Visibility can be hazy from dust and pollution, but temperatures are comfortable for both mountain and valley exploration. This is peak season for climbing expeditions. Monsoon season runs June through September. Rain pounds the mountains daily, leeches emerge on trails, and flights get cancelled. But temple festivals happen during this time and accommodation prices drop by half. If you can handle mud and humidity, you'll have places mostly to yourself. Winter brings crystal-clear mountain views but freezing temperatures at altitude. December through February works for lower elevation treks but forget about crossing high passes. Kathmandu stays pleasant during the day but nights get chilly.
