Napa Valley Wine Region in March
Good time to visit
March is a reasonable time to visit Napa Valley Wine Region.
All Months
September through November is harvest season—the valley buzzes with energy, but expect crowds and premium pricing. Spring (April-May) brings perfect weather and fewer tourists, plus the vines are gorgeously green. Winter gets you the best deals and cozy tasting rooms, though some smaller wineries close. Avoid July and August unless you enjoy 100-degree heat and tour buses clogging every road. Weekdays are always better than weekends, and early morning tastings beat afternoon crowds. Book harvest season trips by February or you'll pay double for half the selection.
