November through April is peak season for good reason—the weather stays dry and temperatures hover around 80°F instead of the brutal 95°F+ of wet season. December and January offer the most comfortable conditions, but book early because luxury ships fill up fast during these months. March and April get hotter but you'll see more wildlife activity. The rainy season from May to October brings flooding that actually makes some areas more accessible by boat, but also means canceled excursions and muggy 90% humidity. Water levels matter more than you'd think—too low and ships can't navigate certain channels, too high and some docking points become unusable. Most cruise lines suspend operations during peak flood months of September and October. If you're flexible, shoulder season in November or April offers better prices and fewer crowds at Angkor Wat.
