Good time to visit

November is a reasonable time to visit Marmara Region.

All Months

April through June and September through October deliver the Marmara Region at its finest. Spring brings mild temperatures perfect for walking Istanbul's hills without breaking a sweat, plus the tulip festival in Emirgan Park creates Instagram gold. Summer cranks up the heat and humidity - July averages 28°C but feels much hotter in the city center. But summer also means rooftop restaurant season and the best Bosphorus swimming spots open up. Fall offers arguably the best weather with warm days, cool nights, and fewer crowds clogging major attractions. Winter can be surprisingly harsh - snow isn't uncommon in January and February, though thermal springs in Bursa become extra appealing. Ramadan affects opening hours and alcohol availability, so check dates before booking. The shoulder seasons also mean better hotel rates and restaurant reservations that don't require a month's advance notice.
