Here's what most guides won't tell you: February and March can actually be great for wildlife viewing at lower elevations, as animals are more active after the rains. But if you're dead set on the summit, stick to the drier months. Weekend climbs book up fastest with domestic tourists, so consider midweek departures. Temperature at the base stays around 20-25°C year-round, dropping to 5-10°C at Laban Rata and near freezing at the summit.
