Jaisalmer in June

Not the best time

June isn't ideal for Jaisalmer. Consider a different month.

All Months

October through March offers the only comfortable weather for exploring Jaisalmer. December and January bring perfect 25°C days and cool 10°C nights — ideal for desert camping and fort exploration. Book accommodations early for December; it's peak season with prices jumping 40-60%. November and February offer the sweet spot of good weather and lower crowds. Hotel rates drop by 20-30%, and you won't fight for photo spots at Patwon Ki Haveli. March starts getting warm by afternoon but remains manageable for morning sightseeing. Avoid April through September completely. Temperatures hit 45-50°C, making outdoor exploration dangerous. Most desert camps close, and even locals stay indoors during midday hours. The few tourists who visit during summer often cut their stays short. Monsoon season (July-September) brings minimal rainfall but high humidity that makes the heat feel worse. Plus, many heritage sites reduce hours or close sections for maintenance during the quieter months.
