April through October is prime time at Isalo. The dry season means clear trails, comfortable temperatures, and reliable weather for photography. May through September are the coolest months, with daytime temperatures around 25°C and nights that can actually get chilly. October starts heating up but still offers excellent conditions. November through March brings the rains, which can make trails muddy and some areas inaccessible. But here's the thing – the wet season has its perks. The landscape turns green, waterfalls are at their most dramatic, and you'll have the park mostly to yourself. Just be prepared for afternoon thunderstorms and potentially cancelled hikes. If you're set on the dry season, book accommodations well in advance, especially for June through August when European visitors flock here.
