The monsoon season from June to September brings relief from the heat but also flooding, closed sites, and transportation chaos. Plus, many guesthouses shut down during these months. November can still be quite warm, while February and March start heating up again but remain manageable. Plan your daily schedule around the sun. Start temple hopping at sunrise when the light is magical and the heat bearable. Take a long lunch break from 11 AM to 4 PM – this isn't laziness, it's survival. Evening visits to places like Hemakuta Hill for sunset become almost mandatory, both for the views and the cooler temperatures.
