Grand Canyon National Park in November
Good time to visit
November is a reasonable time to visit Grand Canyon National Park.
All Months
April through May and September through October hit the sweet spot. Spring brings wildflowers and comfortable hiking weather, while fall offers crisp air and fewer crowds. Summer means scorching heat below the rim – we're talking 115°F at the river level – but the South Rim stays pleasant in the 70s and 80s. Winter transforms the canyon into a snow-dusted wonderland, and you'll have many viewpoints to yourself, but icy trails can be treacherous. Sunrise and sunset are magical year-round, but get to popular viewpoints like Hopi Point early. The golden hour light turns the red rocks into something that looks almost fake.
