Dry season runs November through April with clear skies perfect for Tikal visits and lake activities. December and January bring crowds but also the best weather - highs around 82°F with cool evenings. February through April get hotter but fewer tourists mean cheaper hotel rates. May through October brings afternoon rains that turn streets muddy and can cancel Tikal flights. But wet season has its perks - the jungle explodes green, cenotes fill with crystal water, and hotel prices drop 40%. Avoid Easter week when Guatemalan families pack the town. September and October see the heaviest rains with some roads becoming impassable.
