April through September gives you the best weather and longest days. May hits the sweet spot – tulips still blooming, warm enough for canal-side drinks, but not yet packed with summer crowds. The Christmas market in December transforms the Markt into something magical, though expect rain and 4pm sunsets. July and August bring the warmest weather but also the most tourists and highest hotel prices. Spring means unpredictable weather – pack layers. Winter has its charm with cozy brown cafés and fewer crowds, but many outdoor attractions close early. The Royal Delft pottery factory stays open year-round, making any season workable.
