October through April gives you Coyoacán's best weather. December and January mornings can be crisp, but afternoons warm up perfectly for outdoor café sitting. March brings jacaranda blooms that turn the streets purple – Instagram gold, but also genuinely beautiful. Weekends transform the neighborhood completely. Saturday and Sunday markets fill the plazas with vendors, street food, and live music. Families pour in from across Mexico City, creating a festival atmosphere that's either charming or overwhelming depending on your mood. Avoid major Mexican holidays unless you enjoy crowds. Day of the Dead in early November brings special exhibitions and events, but also tour buses and long lines at Casa Azul. Book museum tickets in advance during peak seasons.
