Cordillera in September

Not the best time

September isn't ideal for Cordillera. Consider a different month.

All Months

November through April offers the clearest weather and best hiking conditions. December and January bring cool, dry air perfect for long walks through rice terraces. Temperatures hover around 65-70°F during the day, dropping to 50°F at night in higher elevations. You'll need a jacket for evenings and early mornings. March and April warm up slightly but stay comfortable for outdoor activities. This is harvest season for some rice varieties, so terraces show off golden colors against green mountainsides. May through October brings monsoon rains that turn mountain roads into muddy obstacle courses. Heavy downpours trigger landslides and road closures regularly. But here's the upside: fewer crowds and lower accommodation prices. The landscape turns impossibly green, and waterfalls flow at full power. If you don't mind getting wet and dealing with transportation delays, rainy season has its charms. Just pack waterproof gear and flexible plans.
