Not the best time
February isn't ideal for Catania. Consider a different month.

April through June is perfect — warm enough for outdoor dining but not the crushing heat of summer. October's also sweet, with harvest season bringing fresh ingredients and fewer crowds.
July and August are brutal. Temperatures hit 40°C (104°F) and the city empties out for beach season. But if you can handle the heat, restaurant prices drop and you'll have the baroque churches to yourself.
Winter's mild but unpredictable. December through February brings rain and occasional snow from Etna. Many restaurants close for vacation in January.
