Cat Tien National Park in September
Not the best time
September isn't ideal for Cat Tien National Park. Consider a different month.
All Months
November through April is prime time when rainfall drops and temperatures hover around 25-30°C instead of the brutal 35°C+ of wet season. December and January offer the coolest weather and clearest skies for spotting wildlife. But here's what tour guides won't tell you — early dry season in November still has afternoon showers that cool things down perfectly. March and April get hot but wildlife activity peaks as animals search for water sources. Avoid May through October unless you enjoy hiking through mud and constant downpours. Rainy season turns trails into rivers and makes wildlife spotting nearly impossible. Early morning visits year-round give you the best chance of animal sightings before the heat drives everything into hiding.
