January and February are ideal for avoiding both spring break chaos and summer heat. May starts getting humid but remains manageable. June through November brings rain, hurricanes, and oppressive humidity, but also significant savings and fewer tourists. Hurricane season peaks August through October—book flexible accommodations if visiting then. Spring break (March-April) transforms Cancún into party central—great if you're 22, exhausting if you're not. Christmas and New Year's see the highest prices and biggest crowds of the year.
