Cameroon in March
Good time to visit
March is a reasonable time to visit Cameroon.
All Months
November through February gives you the best weather — dry season with bearable temperatures and clear skies for wildlife viewing. December and January are peak months, especially for Waza National Park when animals gather around water sources. But here's what the guidebooks don't tell you: March through May can be spectacular for birdwatching as migrants arrive, though it gets progressively hotter. June through October is rainy season, which sounds terrible but actually opens up different experiences. Waterfalls are at their most impressive, the landscape turns impossibly green, and you'll have many places to yourself. Just know that some roads become impassable and internal flights get cancelled more frequently. The far north stays relatively dry year-round, while the coast and rainforest regions can see rain any month. If you're climbing Mount Cameroon, avoid the wettest months (July-September) unless you enjoy hiking through clouds and mud.
