April through June offers perfect weather — warm days, cool evenings, and fewer crowds. The Mediterranean stays swimmable through November. September and October are ideal if you want summer warmth without the August heat. July and August bring Lebanese families on vacation. Hotels double their prices and restaurants get packed. But the evening atmosphere is electric. Winter months see rain and cooler temperatures around 15°C. Many seaside restaurants close from December to February. Spring brings wildflowers to the surrounding hills and the best light for photography. Avoid visiting during major Lebanese holidays when everything shuts down. The Byblos International Festival runs in summer with outdoor concerts in the ancient amphitheater — worth timing your visit around if you can snag tickets.
