April through October offers the best diving conditions with 25-30 meter visibility and calm seas. Water temperature stays around 27-29°C year-round, so a 3mm wetsuit works fine. May and June are perfect — minimal rain, flat seas, and marine life is most active. November through March brings monsoon season. Rain comes in heavy bursts, seas get choppy, and visibility drops to 15-20 meters. But here's the upside — accommodation prices drop 30% and you'll have dive sites mostly to yourself. Just pack rain gear and flexible dive plans. Marine life peaks during different months. Manta rays show up more often in July and August at specific sites like Muka Kampung. Whale sharks occasionally cruise through in September and October, though sightings aren't guaranteed. Green turtles nest on beaches from June through August.
