British Columbia in June

Great time to visit

June is one of the best months to visit British Columbia.

All Months

Summer is peak season for good reason — July and August deliver warm, dry weather perfect for hiking and camping. But here's the thing: everyone knows this. Expect crowds at popular spots like Garibaldi Lake and higher prices across the board. September might be BC's best-kept secret. The weather stays warm, fall colors start showing up, and the summer crowds head home. May and June work well too, especially for wildflower season in the alpine areas. Winter transforms the province into a completely different destination. Whistler and Sun Peaks turn into world-class ski resorts, while Vancouver's mild climate makes it perfect for exploring the city. Storm season on the coast (November through February) brings dramatic weather that's actually pretty spectacular if you're into that sort of thing.
