Great time to visit

March is one of the best months to visit Bolívar.

All Months

December through April offers your best shot at clear skies and accessible waterfalls. This is dry season, when rivers run lower but weather stays more predictable. Temperatures hover around 80°F during the day, dropping to comfortable 70s at night. Here's the catch: lower water levels mean Angel Falls might look less impressive. But you'll actually be able to reach it. During rainy season, many tours get canceled due to dangerous river conditions. May through November brings heavy rains that can strand you for days. But if you can handle the uncertainty, this is when Angel Falls roars at full power. The tepuis disappear into clouds, creating an otherworldly atmosphere. Avoid Venezuelan holidays like Easter week and Christmas when domestic tourists crowd the limited facilities. January and February offer the sweet spot – good weather with fewer crowds. Plan for at least 4-5 days minimum. Weather delays are common, and you don't want to miss Angel Falls because your flight got pushed back a day.
