Baltic Coast in May
Good time to visit
May is a reasonable time to visit Baltic Coast.
All Months
Summer runs from June through August, when temperatures hit 20-25°C and the sea warms to a tolerable 18°C. July brings the warmest weather but also peak crowds and prices. June offers the longest days - nearly 19 hours of daylight in Tallinn - with fewer tourists. August delivers the warmest sea temperatures and berry season in the forests. September extends the season with mild weather and autumn colors, though some coastal restaurants close after Labor Day. Winter transforms the region into a snow-covered wonderland, perfect for Christmas markets in Tallinn's Town Hall Square or cross-country skiing in Lahemaa National Park. But expect only 6 hours of daylight in December. Spring arrives late - May still feels chilly, but it's when locals emerge from winter hibernation and outdoor cafes reopen.
