Asia in June
Not the best time
June isn't ideal for Asia. Consider a different month.
All Months
October through March gives you the sweet spot across most of Asia. Temperatures drop to bearable levels, rain stops pounding, and tourist infrastructure runs smoothly. But this also means crowds and higher prices during peak season.
Monsoon patterns split the continent. Southeast Asia's dry season runs November to April, perfect for beach hopping and temple exploring. India's cool season from December to February offers relief from scorching summers. Japan's shoulder seasons - late fall and early spring - give you comfortable weather without cherry blossom or autumn leaf crowds.
Avoid summer unless you're heading to higher elevations. Bangkok in July feels like breathing soup. Mumbai's monsoon from June to September floods streets daily. But summer brings advantages: fewer tourists, cheaper accommodation, and lush green landscapes. Mountain regions like Nepal's Himalayas and Indonesia's volcanoes actually prefer warmer months for trekking.
