Armenia in November

Good time to visit

November is a reasonable time to visit Armenia.

All Months

April through June brings wildflower meadows and perfect hiking weather. Temperatures hit 70-75°F in Yerevan, while mountains stay cool enough for comfortable walking. This is peak season for photographing Geghard Monastery without crowds. September and October deliver Armenia's golden season. Harvest time means wine festivals, roadside fruit stands overflowing with pomegranates and persimmons, and that perfect light photographers dream about. Temperatures drop to comfortable 60-70°F. Skip July and August unless you enjoy 95°F heat with zero shade. Yerevan becomes an oven, and even mountain retreats feel oppressive. Locals flee to Lake Sevan, creating the year's only real crowds. Winter brings serious snow to mountain regions. Some monasteries become inaccessible, and rural guesthouses close entirely. But Yerevan stays relatively mild — think 40°F — and you'll have tourist sites completely to yourself. Just pack layers.
