Angkor Region in February
Great time to visit
February is one of the best months to visit Angkor Region.
All Months
November through March offers the goldilocks weather — dry, sunny, and cool enough that you won't melt while climbing temple stairs. December and January see the most crowds but also the most comfortable temperatures, hovering around 25°C. February and March heat up but still remain manageable, plus you'll catch the sugar palm flowers blooming. Here's what nobody tells you: early dry season (November-December) means Tonlé Sap Lake still holds plenty of water, so the floating villages actually float. By March, water levels drop and some boat tours become less impressive. Avoid April and May entirely — temperatures hit 40°C and the humidity becomes oppressive. The wet season (June-October) brings afternoon downpours that can flood temple complexes, but also fewer crowds and dramatic storm clouds over Angkor Wat. Just pack good rain gear and flexible schedules.
