November through March offers perfect weather, with daytime temperatures around 20-25°C and cool evenings. This is peak season, so book accommodations well in advance. December and January can get surprisingly chilly at night - pack layers. February brings the AlUla Arts Festival and other events, making it the busiest month. April starts getting hot during the day, but it's still manageable if you start early and take midday breaks. May through October is brutal - daytime temperatures regularly hit 40°C or higher. Most outdoor activities shut down during summer months. The winter months also offer the best stargazing conditions, with clear skies and minimal light pollution. Sunrise and sunset are magical year-round, but only comfortable to experience outdoors during the cooler months. If you're planning to camp in the desert, stick to November through March - summer camping is dangerous without proper equipment.
