The Racha
Eco-chic island minimalism. Think crisp white walls, rich teak wood, ozonated pools, and a real commitment to leaving the island better than they found it. The vibe is calm, unhurried, and genuinely remote — this is where you come to properly switch off, not to be seen at a rooftop bar.

Why It Matters
One of very few luxury resorts accessible only by speedboat in the Phuket orbit, with a credible eco program (on-site solar power covers ~50% of electricity needs, hydroponic farm, bio-gas station, 250 reef balls for coral restoration), Michelin Key recognition, and The Lighthouse — a five-story private pool villa that is genuinely one-of-a-kind.
The Racha is a five-star eco-luxury resort sitting on 20 acres of tropical grounds above Batok Bay on Koh Racha Yai, a small Andaman Sea island 12 nautical miles south of Phuket. Getting here takes a 35-minute speedboat ride from Chalong Pier — and yes, that's part of the experience. The resort holds 85 whitewashed villas across eight categories, three dining outlets, a PADI 5-Star Dive Center, and the award-winning Anumba Spa spanning 2,320 sqm of its own grounds. It earned a Michelin Key in 2025 and holds EarthCheck Gold certification for its genuinely serious sustainability program.
