Why It Matters
Listed in the Michelin Guide and on Tablet Hotels. One of the most intimate properties in Hua Hin — just five rooms, a rooftop pool overlooking the Gulf of Thailand, and a Euro-Asian rooftop restaurant. Established in 2006 and still operating with the same design-led philosophy.
Five rooms. That's it. Dune is a tiny beach boutique on Naebkhehars Road — one suite with a private plunge pool, two deluxe rooms, two superior rooms — and that's the whole hotel. The interior leans hard into minimalist design: clean lines, carefully chosen furniture (including a silver-leaf Arper chair in the deluxe rooms and a Rodolfo Dordoni–designed Serralunga bathtub in the superiors), and soft chill-out music playing throughout. The beach is literally 25 metres away, though the strip of sand is narrow and can disappear at high tide.

Rooms 2 and 4. Beige and cream tones create a warm, refined feel. The open dressing area is fitted with a silver-leaf chair by Lievore, Altherr, Molina for Arper — one of those small details that separates this place from generic boutique hotels. The private balcony comes with a red swing and a daybed. Partial sea view. Dual showerheads and a bathtub in the bathroom.

Ground floor, room 1. The showpiece of the property. A private crimson plunge pool sits just outside your door — it's just for you. The room itself channels a private residence more than a hotel: wooden floors, dual showerheads, a deep soaking bathtub, and modern fixtures with a casual-elegant feel. No direct sea view from the room, but the rooftop pool and restaurant on the 4th floor more than compensate.

Rooms 3 and 5. Minimalist design with lavish details. The signature touch is a black Serralunga bathtub — designed by Rodolfo Dordoni — adapted as a Thai-style soaking tub. Room 5 in particular gets good reviews for its partial ocean-facing balcony view. A comfy daybed on the balcony is ideal for an afternoon in the shade.

The beach is 25 metres from the hotel. That said, Hua Hin's beach here is narrow and the tide comes in close to the road. Best enjoyed in the morning at low tide. Beach umbrellas and loungers available.
