Hua Hin Resort & Spa
Thai village heritage meets lush garden resort. Quiet, leafy, and slow-paced. Families, couples, and Bangkok weekenders all show up — the expansive grounds mean they rarely feel like they're on top of each other.

Why It Matters
This is where the entire Anantara brand was born. The landscape design is attributed to award-winning architect Bill Bensley. The spa — seven individual garden-courtyard treatment suites with outdoor terrazzo tubs and bronze rain cages — is regularly called the best in Hua Hin. It's also the go-to weekend escape for Bangkok expats who don't want to fly.
The original Anantara — opened in 2001, the very first property in the now-global brand — sits on 14 acres of manicured gardens right beside the Gulf of Thailand. Low-rise pavilions, lotus-filled lagoons, and teak-floored corridors are modeled on an ancient Thai village. The whole place relaunched in November 2025 after a complete renovation, adding pool access rooms, a refreshed kids club, an Active Zone, and a new Mini Farm. It's about a 3-hour drive from Bangkok, or a quick 10-minute ride from the small Hua Hin domestic airport.
