Why It Matters
World's first resort to bring Traditional Arabic and Islamic Medicine (TAIM), rooted in Ibn Sina's 1025 Canon of Medicine, into a modern wellness context. Zulal opened in March 2022 as the Middle East's largest full-immersion wellness resort and the world's first destination built around Traditional Arabic and Islamic Medicine (TAIM). Run by Thailand's Chiva-Som, it sits on 28 hectares of private coastline at Qatar's northernmost tip — desert on one side, the Arabian Gulf on the other. The resort splits into two entirely separate experiences: Zulal Serenity for adults 16 and over, and Zulal Discovery for families, each with their own rooms, pools, restaurants, and spa facilities.
