Why It Matters
Restaurant Pirandello holds 13.5 points in the Gault Millau Guide and is considered one of the best Italian restaurants in the Netherlands. The building itself dates to the 16th century and has genuine architectural character throughout.

The entry-level room and still genuinely charming. 19 m² with garden or courtyard views, warm sandy tones, and a comfortable double boxspring. Bathrooms have a shower; some rooms include a bath. Each room is distinct — same category, but no two feel exactly alike thanks to the building's historic layout.

At 40 m², these split-level suites work especially well for families. The main bedroom sits on the lower level; an open mezzanine above holds a third full bed — a fourth can be added on request. A step up in space (25 m²) and finish. Decorated in blue tones with authentic exposed beams overhead — the character of the building comes through here more than in the Deluxe. Bicycle rental available on-site. The South Limburg rolling hills are classic Dutch cycling territory — more undulating than the flat north. Routes are well-marked across the region.
The hotel sits on the edge of the Strijthagerbeekdal nature reserve. Walk straight out from the grounds onto marked trails through woodland and valley. Multiple route lengths and difficulties available.

The hotel has no lift. Guests with mobility challenges should request the single ground-floor Premium Room with separate shower designed for physically impaired guests.

The estate includes a herb garden and orchard, produce from which is used in both restaurants.
