Wildflower Farms
Nature-forward luxury. Think Big Sur meets a working Hudson Valley farm — raw materials, muted palettes, vaulted wood-clad ceilings, floor-to-ceiling glass. Every cabin is freestanding. The energy is quiet, unhurried, and deliberately analog. Dress code at Clay is smart casual at best. You'll see people in hiking boots at breakfast and robes at cocktail hour.
Book a Meadow Cottage or Ridge Cottage for the views — Bower Cabins are in the woods with no wildflower sightlines
Why It Matters
Named #1 Resort in New York by Travel + Leisure in 2025. First luxury brand resort to open in New York's Hudson Valley. Every single accommodation is a freestanding structure — total privacy. A working farm on-site genuinely supplies Clay restaurant. Ranked in Condé Nast Traveler's 2023 Readers' Choice Awards (#4 Resort in the Northeast/Mid-Atlantic).
Wildflower Farms sits on 140 acres in Gardiner, New York — at the base of the Shawangunk Ridge, 90 minutes from Manhattan. It's the first luxury brand hotel to open in the Hudson Valley, built on a former tree nursery that's now a working farm. Sixty-five fully freestanding cabins, cottages, and suites dot the meadows and forest, each designed so you never see another building. The farm actually supplies the kitchen. The spa actually uses what grows on the property. It's the rare place that earns the word 'intentional' without sounding pretentious about it.
