Why It Matters
The only hotel in South Beach where every single room has an ocean view and its own balcony. It also houses the Miami outpost of Mr. Chow — one of the most famous Chinese restaurants in the world — directly on-site, plus one of the city's better hotel spas in AWAY.
W South Beach sits right at the corner of Collins Avenue and 22nd Street on a 20-story tower that announced itself loudly when it opened — and hasn't quieted down since. Every one of the 401 rooms and suites faces the ocean, with an oversized private balcony. The design pulls from 1960s Miami glamour with a modern edge: beach house millwork, Italian marble, herringbone natural oak floors, and artwork by local Miami artist Juan Manuel Rozas on powder room walls. It's not subtle. That's the point.

The largest accommodation at W South Beach at 5,300 square feet. Floor-to-ceiling windows, bi-level layout, private rooftop terrace with plunge pool. Three bedrooms, multiple bathrooms, full chef's kitchen. The top-of-the-line option for those who want a private compound within a hotel.
Cool Corner Suite
Corner positioning means extra windows and wider panoramas. Living area separated from the bedroom. Full kitchen rather than kitchenette. Gradient blackout curtains with automated bedside controls. Deep soaking tub in the master bathroom.
E-WOW Oceanfront Suite
Available in 2 or 3-bedroom configurations. The flagship multi-bedroom suites with media room, dining room, full kitchen, and multiple balconies. The 3-bedroom Amplified E-WOW is the largest suite short of the penthouse — used for VIP groups and extended family stays.
Fabulous Studio
Available in King or Queen/Queen configuration. Same oceanfront balcony setup as Splendid, with kitchenette and the signature floating bed frame look (soft under-bed lighting makes the wood frame appear to hover). Marble bathroom with double vanity, complimentary robes and slippers.
Mega Bi-Level Suite
Bi-level layout with an internal staircase. Private plunge pool on the terrace. Full kitchen. The most dramatic room layout in the property — split across two floors with the terrace serving as a semi-private outdoor living room.
Oasis Suite
One-bedroom suite with distinct living room and bedroom separation. Full kitchen with dishwasher. Some units feature a private plunge pool — a significant upgrade if you can get it. Media room in certain configurations.
Ocean View Penthouse Suite
High-floor penthouse with rooftop terrace access and expansive panoramic views. Multiple bedrooms and bathrooms, full kitchen, and the sort of scale where the living room alone is bigger than most hotel rooms. Some penthouse units have their own rooftop terrace with lounge seating.
Poolside Bungalow 2-Bedroom Suite
Ground-level bungalow-style suite with a private backyard. Two bedrooms, direct pool proximity. The feel is very different from the tower rooms — more private, more residential. Popular with families who want outdoor space without the high-floor vertigo.
Sensational Suite
Available as a one or two-bedroom layout. Spacious seating area, full kitchen, and a larger master bathroom footprint than the studios. The two-bedroom version works well for families or friends traveling together.
Splendid Studio
Entry-level studio rooms with ocean views and private balconies. Beach house-style millwork, Italian marble, herringbone natural oak floors, and automated mood lighting with three preset modes. Kitchenette included. Seaside-inspired art by French photographer Jean-Philippe Piter on paneled walls.
WOW Oceanfront Two-Bedroom Suite
Full two-bedroom oceanfront suite with separate dining area, full kitchen, and two bathrooms. Expansive balcony. Designed for groups or families who want proper separation of spaces without going full penthouse.
