The Camí de Ronda coastal path passes directly below the hotel — great for morning runs or an easy walk to nearby coves.
Why It Matters
The only 5-star hotel on the northern Costa Brava coast. Family-owned since 1963 with three generations at the helm. Spain's first NUXE Spa. A Surrealist Suite paying homage to Salvador Dalí (Cadaqués and his museum are nearby). El Pirata Club beach bar has its own private jetty — you can literally arrive by boat to lunch.
Vistabella is a 34-room, family-run 5-star hotel perched on a small cliff above Cala Canyelles Petites on the northern Costa Brava — still the only 5-star hotel on this stretch of coastline. The Veitl family (German) built and opened it in 1963, and three generations later they're still running it. Four restaurants, a freshly renovated NUXE Spa, and a private dock below the cliffs mean most guests see little reason to leave.

Direct access to two beaches: Canyelles Petites (crescent-shaped, a 5-minute walk) and La Almadraba, both accessible on foot from the hotel.
The famous Camí de Ronda coastal path passes directly below the hotel, offering easy access to nearby beaches and coves. For the determined, the path can be followed all the way to Cadaqués.
The hotel is positioned in the heart of the Dalí Triangle — Cadaqués (where Dalí lived) and its museum are accessible via the Camí de Ronda coastal path or a short drive. The Surrealist Suite is itself an in-hotel nod to Dalí.
Private excursion aboard a 12-meter Saxdor 400 GTO yacht (2025 model) along the Costa Brava and Cap de Creus Natural Park. Skipper, towels, and water included. Choice of 4- or 6-hour durations, with extended hours available. Fuel charged separately based on actual consumption. Departs from the hotel's private dock mid-June to mid-September; from Port of Roses outside those dates.
A curated private evening on the water — coastal sailing at sunset paired with a gastronomic experience and a night swim. A more intimate, experiential version of the standard yacht charter.
The brick-walled wine cellar at Els Brancs holds over 2,000 bottles and is available for tours upon request. Staff can guide you through the regional and international selection.
