Two Michelin distinctions under one roof: Table Mirasol earned its first star in 2023, and Bistrot 1912 has held a Bib Gourmand since 2022. The hotel partners with the Musée Despiau-Wlérick to display nine original sculptures in the public spaces — a genuinely unusual arrangement. Only 7 rooms, so it stays exclusive by necessity.
A 1912 Belle Époque mansion sitting at the exact confluence of three rivers in the Landes heartland — the kind of address you come across and immediately understand why someone built a house here. Seven rooms, two Michelin-recognized kitchens, and a botanical garden fill the property. Chef Philippe Lagraula runs both a one-star tasting room (Table Mirasol) and a lively Bib Gourmand bistro (Bistrot 1912) under the same roof. The food is the real reason most people make the detour.

Room No. 7. Same 20 m² footprint as the Classic rooms but faces the botanical garden and the Vignotte rotunda rather than the river. The merwat yellow walls give it a sunnier feel. Good for solo travellers or couples who prefer greenery over water.

Room No. 6 and the largest in the house at 44 m². Dual orientation over the river and the botanical garden. Fits up to four guests with two additional twin beds in the lounge, making it the best option for families. Performance art collection throughout. Stairs only.

Room No. 5 — the one to request. Also 30 m², but with a 20 m² private terrace looking directly over the rivers' confluence and the Vignotte rotunda. Has both a shower and a bathtub with a separate toilet. Breakfast on that terrace is the best morning in the house.

A private Armagnac collection at the heart of the villa spanning different terroirs, cépages, and decades. Worth asking about at the bar — it's not publicly listed as a formal tasting experience but the collection is presented as a guest highlight.
Nine sculptures from the Musée Despiau-Wlérick's collection are installed throughout the villa's public spaces under a unique France-wide partnership. Original paintings, drawings, engravings, and ceramics are distributed through the rooms and suites. The lift alone is worth a look — a seven-metre fresco by contemporary artist Zoulikha Bouabdellah covers one wall.
The 37th edition runs June 30 to July 4, 2026. Mont-de-Marsan's major annual cultural festival, held in the bullring and across the city. The hotel is well-positioned as a base. Some events are ticketed; check festivalarteflamenco.fr for programme details.
The garden was reconstructed from early 20th-century plans by botanist Jean Thoby. French formal terraces on one side, an English-style garden along the Douze river on the other. Rare plant species from multiple continents. The waterfall and gentle river sound are the backdrop throughout. Paths wind through multiple levels — allow 30-45 minutes to explore properly.
The hotel sits less than 50 metres from the Transibérique cycling route as it crosses the Landes interior. The property officially participates in the 'Accueil Vélo' (cyclist welcome) scheme. Route maps and regional cycling information available.
